Scott has been involved in emergency response since 1993. He began his career as a junior volunteer firefighter in Jay, Maine. Since then, he has been employed as a career firefighter and has worked his way up the ranks to company officer in a career fire department. Trained for all-hazard response, he is experienced in firefighting, emergency medicine, haz-mat, incident command, and technical rescue.
He has attended courses at the National Fire Academy, Center for Domestic Preparedness, Fire Department Instructors Conference, and the Nevada National Security Site. He has taught classes in incident command, fire, emergency medicine, and hazardous materials throughout the State of Maine. In addition, he has been involved in the planning of several large training exercises.
Scott serves as President of Specialty Response Solutions, Inc. and the lead instructor.
